The Inspiration

These glasses are inspired by the Legio X, the favourite Julius Caesar’s roman legion, his élite military corp, levied in the late republican time.

When the Legion X was disbanded, every man who had been part of it, was given the name of “Invictus” (never defeated). The legion won a lot of battles during the glorious military campaigns of Zela, Lama, Teutoburgo, Canne, Alesia, Magnesia. The name of these places create a connection between the Legion X series and the Genius Loci models.

There is a shield on the ear stem, the emblem of the legion, symbol of the force of its defence, and a miniature of Jacopo Dell’Opera’s bitt, representing a lion, whose strenght and fierceness were characteristics of the Legion X.

On the front, two golden spears and two diamonds embody the weapon and the value of the corp, shining above any other legion with its deeds.

The Realizzation

Visum is created in the three tints of gold (yellow, pink and white) and in various colours of acetates. The average weight of 18 kt gold is 29 gr. On the temples, two dimonds of 0,11 ct, very high quality, are set.

This model is available in two sizes and it suites a male and a lady visage. It is perfect as sun or eye glasses.
