METAMORPHOSIS COLLECTION

A new luxurious vision on jewellery

The “Metamorfosi Collection” is the result of a revolutionary process in the world of luxury jewel, which began in 2013 after the insights of the great goldsmith artist Marco Mancini, having a heartfelt support and collaboration from his team. The pieces of this collection are not only simple jewelry or accessories, but represent real masterpieces; each one encloses the feelings and thoughts of the artist. The "Metamorfosi Collection" includes four main models: NAVALIA, POSEIDONE, MEDUSA and ARGO, each in a limited edition of 30 pieces.

The common theme of each model is the enchantment and mystery of the ancient "Greek mythology" that, after thousands of years, can still fascinate and amaze millions and millions of people. The name of Each Royal Eyewear in fact, derives from the divinities or mythological creatures to whom it has been dedicated, while the incredibly detailed and finished symbols and micro-sculptures help narrate each divinity’s life story. The Metamorfosi Collection represents a category of super-luxury products that can captivate, even the most demanding people who are always looking for exclusivity.

Navalia

This eyewear has an important role for the company as it represents the father of all Royal Eyewear, and it marks the evolution of the company from Marco (the artist) to Mancini (the family). Navalia is a mask-type sunglasses and is inspired by the “Genius Loci” (Genius of the place), the one who in ancient times had the gift of influencing people who inhabit a specific area, bringing them to fulfill their own destiny. The Mancini company with its revolutionary Royal Eyewear design can be identified as a modern “Genius Loci” that leads people to a new Luxurious vision on jewellery…

Poseidone

This eyewear takes its name from the god of the sea "Poseidon", the one who had the ability to unleash and calm storms, cause earthquakes, and protect sailors who devoutly prayed him. Its majesty and charm are immortalized in the micro-sculpture embedded in the inserts, surrounded by precious diamonds. This sculpture portrays the God’s half bust as he grabs the trident: the iconic weapon that encloses his immense power, giving him the undeniable supremacy of the seas...

Medusa

This model is a glasant-type eyewear and it introduces, using the figure of Medusa, the theme of the "power of the gaze" (The one that seduces and turns into stones). Medusa was one of the three gorgons: mythological female creature with living venomous snakes in place of hair, which had the power to turn into stone, anyone crossing their gaze. The eyewear tells, through a variegated symbolism, the battle of Perseus and Medusa that ends with the Gorgon’s death...

Argo

This eyewear tells the story of Argus, the hundred-eyed giant set by Hera around the Inacus river to guard the nymph Io, a beautiful lover of Zeus. Here comes again the theme of the "Power of the Gaze": the eye is the main symbol of this Royal Eyewear and it creates an eternal connection between the Mythological Giant figure and the eyewear. Sapphires, rubies and emeralds, in this frame, adorn the beauty of the diamonds. Argo is an astonishing model that can engage its audience in one of the most exciting stories of ancient roman-greek mythology...

''THE METAMORPHOSIS COLLECTION''
and the diversification of cultures

image
image

"The Metamorphosis Collection" in its creative evolution, having models which follow the stories on the subject of Metamorphosis, wishes to catch such changes and adapt them to the specific culture of individual nations. The collection present in this catalogue, will be presented using adequate motifs for historical symbols of such nations.

This diversity, which is important for Master goldsmith Marco Mancini , represents his interest and responsibility in carefully recognising how important it is to value human relationships in diverse contexts, respecting different cultures and customs in all their details.
